Body Fast Testing
Relying only on a scale is simply not enough to measure progress accurately. This is especially apparent for regular exercisers who wish to precisely pinpoint improvement. We offer our clients a body composition analysis that measures body fat percentages via bio-electrical impedance. Bio-electrical impedance is a flow of electrical current through the body. Muscles, bones, and blood vessels have a high water content that conduct electricity easily, while fat tissue has very little electric conductivity. Based on the resistance to this weak electrical current sent through the body (which is not felt), the machine is able to determine the amount of fat mass and lean body mass (i.e. muscle, bones, water, etc.) that resides on the figure.
The human body requires a certain amount of body fat to maintain proper function. Based on these minimum numbers and specific calculations, optimal weight ranges can be determined. Knowing your body fat composition measurement is crucial to long term exercise success and can help you achieve more precise goals previously unknown using the scale.
